Dce Runaway From Her Car As Ndc Executives, Residents Of Buduburam Protest Against Over 24hrs Market Complex
Gomoa East National Democratic Congress Party executives and residents of Gomoa Buduburam have demonstrated against the DCE, Margaret Naana Ackom, over an attempt to take the 24-hour economy market project from Buduburam to Gomoa Akotsi in the Gomoa East District.
According to them, the President and the vice president in 2024 visited the market women and nananom with the pledged to use Buduburam market as 24 hours market complex but the DCE want to take the project to Gomoa Akotsi.
Buduburam Upper Ward Coordinator, Joseph Anambon said, they will not allow the DCE to take the project to Akotsi since the president John Dramani Mahama and the vice president Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang pledged that they will expand the Buduburam market and use as 24hrs market complex to serve the people of Gomoa East.
He said, the money for the market has been released but the DCE, Naana Ackom has insisted that she will take the market to her hometown, Gomoa Akoti which they will not allow that to happen.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Gomoa Buduburam, Nana Kojo Essel said, nananom have provided all the document requested by the DCE but the DCE want to play ‘jandam’ game to take the market to Akotsi which they nananom would not allow that.
However, the Assemblyman for Gomoa Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe has called for calm and pledged that he will not allow for the market to be moved to Gomoa Akoti.
