Aseidu Nketiah Calls for Establishment of Hero’s Fund to Support NDC Loyalists

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has proposed the establishment of a Hero’s Fund to provide support to party members who have made sacrifices for the party.
Speaking at the United Cadres Front anniversary commemoration at the party’s headquarters in Accra, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding the contributions of party members.
He highlighted the challenges faced by families of party members who have lost their lives in the line of duty. “If we have a hero’s fund, we can do so many things to help with the medication of our comrades who have struggled for the party, and also support the children of those who have fallen,” he said.
The NDC Chairman believes that the Hero’s Fund would be a powerful way to grow the party by making it more appealing to members and their families. He noted that if the children of party members who have made sacrifices are not supported, they may grow up with negative perceptions about the party.
Asiedu Nketiah emphasized the need for the party to be attractive to younger generations. “If your father fought and died for the party, and because of that, his children’s education and other things suffer, they will certainly not join NDC,” he said. “It’s our duty to make the party appealing to our cadres and their families.”
The NDC Chairman believes that the Hero’s Fund would help to change the perception of the party among younger generations. “If we focus on making our party attractive, people will be proud that they had a role to play in bringing the process this far,” he said.
The proposal for a Hero’s Fund is a significant step towards recognizing and rewarding the contributions of NDC members. It also highlights the party’s commitment to supporting its members and their families.
