Obuasi MCE Urges Youths to Shun Drugs During Eid-ul-Adha Celebration

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi, Hon. Faustylove Appiah Kanin, has advised youths to refrain from drugs and substance abuse, particularly during the Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
She made this call while touring various prayer centers in Obuasi to celebrate the occasion with the Muslim community.
The MCE expressed concern about the increasing rate of drug addiction among youths, which often leads to chaos and violent behavior.
She urged the youths to prioritize their well-being and avoid substance abuse.
Hon. Appiah Kanin commended the Muslim community for celebrating the Eid-ul-Adha peacefully, noting that the municipality has always advocated for peace.
She also encouraged youths to take advantage of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) portals to apply for jobs, as the government is committed to reducing unemployment rates in Ghana.
The MCE expressed optimism that the government’s initiatives, led by President John Dramani Mahama, would make Ghana a better place to live.
She urged the youths to seize the opportunities available to them and build a brighter future.
