Interior Minister Commissions UPSA Police Station to Enhance Area Security

 

The Minister for Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has commissioned a new police post at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

The ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including the Inspector General of Police, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, and the Vice Chancellor of UPSA.

The Minister emphasized that the establishment of the police station demonstrates the government’s commitment to enhancing security and providing better policing services to citizens.

He noted that the police station will serve as a vital hub for police operations and community engagement, enabling officers to respond promptly and efficiently to security concerns.

The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. Duuti Tuaruka, speaking on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), stated that the new police station is part of the police agenda to ensure policing is accessible to every Ghanaian.

He assured the university community that the police will do their best to enforce law and order and maintain peace.

DCOP Tuaruka expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, including the university leadership and community members, who played a crucial role in establishing the police post.

He urged them to continue partnering with the police service to build a safer and more secure Ghana, emphasizing that the police post will be used for its intended purpose.
