Eiii!!!: NDC Threatens Demonstration Over Dumsor

The Central Regional Deputy Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Mensah Abeka, has threatened to organize a demonstration against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) over the recent intermittent power supply, popularly known as “dumsor”.

Abeka claims that the ECG is sabotaging the NDC government, which he believes is capable of providing stable power supply.

He cited President John Mahama’s efforts to address dumsor during his previous term in office.

The NDC deputy organizer has called on President Mahama to sack ECG officials appointed by former President Akufo-Addo, alleging that they are working to undermine the current administration.

Abeka has given the ECG an ultimatum: ensure stable power supply or face demonstrations.

Abeka also praised President Mahama for fulfilling some of his campaign promises within a short period.

The threat of demonstration highlights the ongoing concerns about power supply in Ghana and the perceived politicization of the issue.
