Ho Teaching Hospital Praised for Effective Use of Internal Funds

The Health Committee of Parliament has commended the management of the Ho Teaching Hospital for its impressive management of Internal Generated Funds (IGF).
During a recent monitoring visit, the committee discovered that the hospital has achieved remarkable self-sufficiency, financing 52 specialist medical doctors who are set to return to the hospital.
The committee members, including Dr. Thomas Anaba, MP for Garu, and Dr. Prince Arhin, MP for Mfantseman, expressed their gratitude to the hospital’s management for its notable achievements.
These include the establishment of a psychiatric consulting department, a 24-hour pharmacy, and a dialysis department.
The MPs praised the hospital’s management for its resourcefulness and commitment to improving healthcare services in the region.
The hospital’s ability to generate and effectively utilize its own funds has enabled it to expand its services and attract specialist doctors, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.
