The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly condemned the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Sackey Esaaba Torkornoo by President John Dramani Mahama.
According to NPP General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Koduah Frimpong, the suspension is a blow to the image of the judiciary.
During the launch of the NPP’s National Thank You Tour, Justin Frimpong Koduah, the General secretary of NPP asserted that the party will continue to offer responsible and constructive criticism to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He announced that the NPP will soon address the nation on the state of the country within President Mahama’s 100-day tenure.
Frimpong called on the Ghana Bar Association to condemn President Mahama’s action, emphasizing that the suspension of the Chief Justice undermines the judiciary’s integrity.
