
Honorable Isaac Afi, the newly elected Presiding Member of the Dormaa East District Assembly, has expressed his commitment to working closely with Assembly Members, the District Chief Executive, and stakeholders to advance the district’s development and prosperity.
In an interview with reporter Honorable Afi emphasized his determination to leverage his experience as a youth organizer and Assembly Member to meet the expectations of the people.
Honorable Afi pledged to work closely with Assembly Members, the DCE, and assembly staff to achieve development goals.
He vowed to initiate awareness campaigns to educate residents on the importance of regular tax payments and bolster the capabilities of revenue collectors.
He highlighted several developmental projects he has championed in his Electoral Area, including rural electrification, establishment of Junior High Schools, and operationalizing CHPS compounds.
Honorable Afi identified inadequate Internally Generated Fund (IGF) collections as a significant challenge facing the Assembly.
To address this, he plans to recruit young individuals to assist revenue collectors in canvassing the district and ensure every resident contributes to the assembly’s development through tax payments.
As a three-term Assembly Member, Honorable Afi attributed his success to hard work and dedication.
He highlighted his achievements, including establishing an educational needs foundation to provide books and stationery to support education in his Electoral Area.
