
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to inaugurate a new office complex in Dormaa Central Municipality, Bono Region, to ease the burden of vehicular registrations for drivers and vehicle owners.
This initiative aims to generate employment opportunities for the youth and mitigate challenges related to vehicle registration and driver licensing.
The office will be situated in Dormaa Ahenkro, making it accessible to residents of neighboring constituencies and reducing the need to travel to Sunyani, the regional capital.
The DVLA office will provide vehicle registration and driver licensing services, benefiting residents who previously had to travel to Sunyani for these services.
The establishment of the DVLA office is expected to stimulate business activities in Dormaa Ahenkro due to the influx of individuals from surrounding districts and municipalities.
Lawyer Foster Kwasi Asante, Deputy CEO of DVLA has indicated that the initiative will generate employment opportunities for the youth and mitigate the challenges encountered by drivers and vehicle owners concerning vehicle registration and driver licensing.
On his part, Honorable John Kwame Adu Jack, Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central says the enthusiasm among the constituents of Dormaa Central upon receiving this news reflects their eagerness for the DVLA’s services, and this initiative will undoubtedly alleviate some of the challenges faced by drivers and vehicle owners in their efforts to register their vehicles.
The current designated space will serve as a temporary office, while efforts are made to secure land for the construction of a permanent office space to enhance services.
The collaboration between the DVLA and local leaders, including the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Council, Osagyefo Oseadeayo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, will facilitate the establishment of a permanent office.
