ABUJA: ABLAKWA ADVOCATES FOR INTRA-AFRICA TRADE, SUPPORT FOR LOCAL INVESTORS

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been advocating for intra-African trade and governmental support to local investors irrespective of political affiliation

The Minister also called for a deliberate move by all government on the continent to engage in a serious talk on how to use its competitive advantages for the benefit of countries.

Speaking at River Park, Abuja, a Ghanaian national real estate and investment park, the minister was elated for the massive investment made by a Ghanaian.

The owners who have acquired and developed a 501 hector landed property, comprising a medical centre , a university, Communities gyms, and parks.

The investment, though, has grown into a multi-million dollar, and one of the best estates and parks in Abuja Nigeria has had its own hurdles from encroachers and legal issues.

He told owners, staff, and community leaders, both Ghanaians and others, Minister Ablakwa calls for governmental support and to protect such investment.

The Minister also called on African Leaders to actualize the removal of artificial barriers and open up their economies to each other to open up their countries.

The Minister emphasized the need for Ghana and Nigeria to prioritize the engagement of local expertise in awarding government contracts. He indicated that Ghana’s amendment to its procurement law will enhance the move to use local experts with capacities to retain the huge resources in the country.

Kojo Ansah Memsah, Property Manager of River Park, which belongs to Jonah Capita and Mobus Property Nigeria Limited, was grateful for the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria for the support it has enjoyed from the government of Ghana.
