MTN Ghana Shows Appreciation for Muslim Community’s Loyalty with Generous Donation

In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, MTN Ghana has donated food items worth GHs 20,000 and a wired cash of GHs 10,000 to the office of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam.

This gesture is a testament to the company’s appreciation for the loyalty and patronage of Muslims in the region.

The donation, which includes essential items such as bags of rice, assorted soft drinks, packs of bottled water, boxes of cooking oil, and a ram, was presented at the forecourt of the Kumasi Central Mosque on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Alhaji Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, Executive Secretary to the regional Chief Imam, received the donation on behalf of the Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community in the region.

Simon Amoh, Senior Manager of General Trade-MTN Ghana, described the donation as an annual ritual, highlighting the company’s commitment to identifying with every belief.

This donation is not an isolated incident, as MTN Ghana has a history of supporting Muslim communities across the country.

Alhaji Ustaz Ahmed Seidu expressed his gratitude to MTN Ghana, acknowledging the company’s persistent support for Muslims.

“MTN is a friend to Muslims. This is not the first time they are doing this, and I hope today will not be the last time. We will keep on praying for the success of MTN Ghana,” he stated.

As Muslims approach the end of the holy month of fasting, MTN Ghana’s donation serves as a timely reminder of the company’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
