Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called for patience as investigations into the Adum Market fire outbreak in Kumasi continue.
Dr. Bawumia made the appeal after visiting the Blue Light Market scene at Adum in Kumasi to commiserate with traders affected by the fire.
During his interaction with the traders, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of waiting for the final investigative report to determine the way forward for the market.
He also commended the Ghana National Fire Service for their bravery in dousing the inferno.
In addition, Dr. Bawumia appealed to the government to complete the 80% done Kejetia Market Phase 2, which was initiated by the previous administration but left unfinished. This move is seen as a bid to support the affected traders and revitalize the market.
