Violent Rainstorm Displaces Over 500 Students in Awutu Bibianiha

A devastating rainstorm swept through Awutu Babianiha-Odumase, a community in the Awutu Senya West District, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
The storm, which was accompanied by strong winds and minimal rainfall, ripped off the roofs of several buildings, including the local Basic School, leaving over 500 students stranded.
The school suffered significant damage, with the teachers’ staff common room also flooded. Many students and staff lost their personal belongings to the rain, adding to the distress caused by the storm.
Nana Kwasi Essel, the traditional youth leader, has appealed to the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Gizella Tetteh, who is also the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, to provide assistance to the affected community.
Opinion leaders and students have also shared their concerns about the situation, highlighting the need for urgent support.
The community is now waiting for aid to be provided to help them recover from the devastating effects of the storm.
