NDC Constituency Organizer Hails President Mahama for Fulfilling Campaign Promises

Gomoa East, Ghana – Hassan Amidu, Constituency Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has commended President John Dramani Mahama and Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, for delivering on their campaign promises.

Speaking in an interview, Amidu praised the government’s decision to abolish nuisance taxes introduced by the previous administration, citing it as a fulfillment of their campaign pledge.

The NDC organizer also took a swipe at the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying they seem confused about the betting tax, which they claim they did not implement.

Amidu’s comments come on the heels of the presentation of the 2025 budget by Dr. Ato Forson, which outlined the government’s fiscal policies and economic plans for the year.

In addition to praising the government’s economic policies, Amidu urged assembly members to have faith in the NDC government and work hard to support it, as they will receive monthly allowances.

He also appealed to the Finance Minister to support companies in Gomoa East, creating employment opportunities for the youth in the constituency.

In a surprise move, Amidu concluded by calling on President Mahama to reintroduce paper currency featuring the face of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, which was removed by the previous administration.
