Ashanti Region: Atwima Darko Residents Decry Poor State of Abandoned Road Project

Residents of Darko in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region have expressed great worry over the dust pollutantion in the community following the abandonment of a road project since December 2024.

Speaking in an interview, the residents noted that the contractor, Kofi Job Construction Limited, left site after completing the construction of drains.

According to them, the inhalation of dust has resulted in several health complications for most of them, especially for children who commute to school every day.

As part of their requests, the residents have appealed to the contractor to occasionally sprinkle water on the road to reduce the impact of dust.

They have almost appealed to the John Mahama government to ensure the immediately completion of the road.
