50 Club Breaks Ground for GH₵70,000 Children Weighing Centre in Obuasi

The 50 Club has broken ground for the construction of a GH₵70,000 children weighing centre at the Kyekyewere community health centre in Obuasi.
This project is part of the club’s 5th-anniversary celebrations, during which they have made several donations totaling GH₵160,000.
In addition to the children weighing centre, the club has donated a laptop and medical equipment to Bodwesango Catholic Hospital, paid school and hostel fees for a third-year medical student at KNUST, and provided 30 metal bunk beds to T.I Ahmadiyya SHS (T.I. Amass) in Fomena.
The club has also made a second donation of GH₵10,000 to T.I. Amass to procure more innovative bunk beds for their female hostel.
The President of the 50 Club, Jacob Edmund-Acquah, stated that the donation is aligned with the club’s objective of assisting community health centers deliver quality healthcare to their residents.
The club’s members are committed to making a positive impact in their community through various initiatives.
The 50 Club has a history of philanthropy, having contributed to various causes over the past 5 years. These include contributing to the cost of surgeries and/or medical treatments for kids and other individuals with various heart/medical conditions, supporting community clinics/hospitals with medical equipment and supplies, providing scholarships to brilliant but needy students, and setting up businesses for many artisans.
A representative of T.I. Amass SHS thanked the club for the surprise second donation within a week to support the school following a fire outbreak earlier this year. The club’s donations have been well-received by the community, and their efforts are making a significant impact in the lives of many individuals.
