Nigerian national in his 30s has been arrested and detain at awutu district police station for allegedly raping 15yrs old girl at Nkwantanan teachers city in the Gomoa East district.
According to the report, the suspect, kidnapped the victim in a bush and raped her when she was returning home with her little sister after accompanying a friend who is her senior at work.
In an interview with the mother of the victim, Madam Cecilia Krampa told journalist that, the daughter is learning simtress and her senior visited her after she saw her off and returning home with her little sister the suspect dragged her in a bush, covered her mouth, pulled a knife at her and slept with her in the bush.
She said, the victim little sister who escaped from the suspect seeked helped from the okada rider but the suspect runaway before they arrived.
The suspect according to the victims mother escaped from the community after the incident and it took the help of Gomoa Buduburam Electoral Area Assemblyman and some boys who fished the suspect and hand him over to the police today 19th August,2025.
Meanwhile in an interview with Emmanuel Dogbe, Assemblyman for Buduburam Electoral Area said the police should investigate the matter to ensure the suspect face the full rigor of the law.
