Adjen Kotoku Cleans Up for Homowo; Calls on Govt to Restore Town Council

The Chief of Kwarteman Adjen Kotoku, Nii Aklekwei III, and residents organized a massive clean-up exercise to herald the Homowo Festival, a traditional celebration observed by the Ga people.
The initiative saw an impressive turnout of volunteers who devoted their time and effort to improve the cleanliness of their environment.
During the clean-up exercise, Nii Aklekwei III emphasized the importance of keeping homes clean to prevent sicknesses, adding that the community would organize health talks to educate residents on maintaining a clean environment.
He stressed that good health is crucial for development, highlighting the need to prioritize human resources.
Enoch Asamoah Darko, CEO of Junock’s Event, noted that this year’s celebration would focus on sanitation issues, which require urgent attention.
He called on the government to reinstate the town council to help address the sanitation challenges faced by the community.
