Parkoso: Assemblyman, Emmanuel Broni, Rewards Brilliant Pupils

The Assemblymember for Parkoso Electoral Area, Hon. Emmanuel Broni, has donated schools bags, books and other stationery to pupils of Parkoso Roman Catholic School Primary and Junior High in the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly for their outstanding performance in the 3rd Term of the 2024 – 2025 academic year.

Speaking in an interview after the presentation on Thursday, 24th July 2025, Hon. Broni underscored the importance of education, stating that it is his desire to see the final-year candidates obtain excellent results in the Basic Education Certificate Examination.

According to him, the essence of presenting these education materials is to create a healthy academic competition between the students, and make them strive for success.

He has, therefore, commended the teachers of the school for making a huge impact in the lives of the students.

On behalf of the entire management and students of the school, the Headmistress of Parkoso Roman Catholic Primary, Madam Martha Adu Asare, expressed her profound thankfulness to Honourable Broni for his unwavering support to the school.

She noted that due to the improvement in academic performance, the school’s population has increased from 155 to 570, creating congestion in the classrooms. She has, therefore, appealed to government to replace all dilapidated structures with new blocks.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Parents and Teachers’ Association, Lucy Barwuah, has admonished parents to focus on their wards’ education and offer them the best of counseling and supervision at all times.

Issuing a word of commendation to the school management, she noted that the school used to record cases of teenage pregnancy until a concerted effort by the the management and opinion leaders ended the trend a few years ago.

She has, however, cautioned parents against the overindulgence of children in trade and labour.
