Educationist Warns House Masters to be Vigilant with Exeat for School Children

A concerning trend has been observed among teenage girls in schools, where they request permission to visit their parents but instead sneak off to see their boyfriends.

This behavior poses a significant risk to the well-being and safety of these young girls.

Mr. Daniel Amponsah Brenya, Headmaster of Bestina Education Centre in Kasoa Amanfro, has raised this issue, emphasizing the need for teachers and parents to work together to prevent such behavior.

He stresses that teachers should take their monitoring role seriously, particularly when it comes to students’ movements and activities outside of school.

To addresst his issue, Mr. Brenya proposes a collaborative approach between teachers and parents.

He suggests that parents establish a strong, trusting relationship with their children before they start school, setting clear rules and expectations for their behavior. Teachers should also verify the reasons for students’ absences and inform parents accordingly.

He advised thatTeachers and parents should work together to prevent children from engaging in undesirable behavior and ensure their safety and well-being.
