CATHOLIC PRIEST ADVISES YOUTH TO LIMIT PHONE USE DURING CHURCH SERVICES

Rev. Father Hans-Gerber Makafui Agbenafa, Chief Priest at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Aplaku, of Ga South Municipality, has cautioned Christian youth against excessive phone use during church services.

In an interview at the church’s 25th anniversary and building dedication ceremony, Father Agbenafa emphasized that while the church acknowledges the importance of technology, phones should not be used as a means of worship during services.

The priest urged the youth to cultivate humility and discipline, highlighting the need for spiritual focus during worship.

He also expressed concern about the growing issue of drug abuse among young people, calling for greater awareness and support to address this problem.

Nicholas King, Chairman of the Planning Committee for the 25th Anniversary Celebration of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, expressed his joy and gratitude during the dedication of the new church building. Describing the event as remarkable, King emphasized the importance of sacrifice in achieving meaningful outcomes.

According to King, embracing the habit of sacrifice can lead to positive results, inspiring fellow Christians to adopt this mindset.

On his part, the Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Hon. Felix Akwetey called on members of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church to embody the values and principles of the church. Speaking at the church’s 25th anniversary and building dedication ceremony, Hon. Akwetey emphasized the importance of living out the teachings of the church in daily life.
