Kufuor Urges NPP Unity; Calls for Solutions to Tribal Bias Perception

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal of winning power.
Speaking at the launch of the Patriotic Institute, Kufuor emphasized the importance of unity, pragmatism, and inclusivity within the party.
He noted that the NPP’s opponents have successfully propagated the perception that the party is tribally based, which could have serious electoral consequences if not addressed.
He urged party members to focus on promoting good governance, inclusivity, and service to the general public, rather than getting bogged down in internal divisions.
Kufuor stressed that NPP members should work together towards achieving power, regardless of their individual relationships or backgrounds.He acknowledged the perception of tribal bias within the party and urged members to find solutions to this challenge.
He emphasized the importance of engaging with grassroots members and making them feel valued, highlighting that trust and service to the public are crucial in building a strong party.
The former president noted that the institute should aim to deepen awareness of the responsible use of power and promote a culture of service to humanity.
