The residents of Obuasi Bediem who live near Abundant Grace school and its enclaves are not happy with way the former MCE Hon Elijah Adansi Bonah handled the flooding situation in the area.
According to some residents, all the drainage systems had been connected to one gutter linked to the above location, According to Mr Kofi Badu who is a victim stated that, last year he nearly lost his life because of flooding.
Mr Kofi Badu lamented that the former MCE hon Elijah Adansi Bonah couldn’t pay visit nor donated money for those who were affected by the flooding. He had to used his own pocket money for the hospital bills and others.
Madam faustina who is a resident lamented on poor handling of flooding incidents in the area. She stated that currently, there is newly born baby in so when it start raining, she becomes frightened and confused because the place is not good for the baby.
Madam faustina also said that because of flooding ,they can’t buy normal gadgets like refrigerator, chairs,mattress and other electrical appliances. She stated they can’t even paint their house because of the situation.
The residents are calling for the newly MCE Hon. Faustylove Appiah Kannin to come to their aid and help them. According to the residents, they believe in her administration and her government as well.
