One person has been reported missing whiles another one has been rescued from Okrudu River in Kasoa Opeikuma of Awutu Senya East Municipality after hours of downpour on Sunday.
According to the report, the okrudu river overflow it banks and two people drown in the river but the Nadmo staff together with other rescue team were able to rescued one person which the other one has been taken away by the river.
Also, over 300 houses and many belongings have been submerged by the water after hours of downpour in the area.
In an interview with Municipal Chief Executive for Awutu Senya East, Hon Seth Sabbah Banini Serwornu has said the assembly will embark on serious exercise to demolish all unauthorized structures in the waterways.
He confirmed that , one person is missing while other one has been rescued from the river.
Meanwhile, the municipal NADMO Director for Awutu Senya East, Nash Nyande Adams has said the people should provide their building permit to the assembly before the demolishing else the assembly will demolish every structure.
