The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region, Hon Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has promised to sponsor brilliant students who excel well in the ongoing Basic Education Exams to secondary school.
The MP, speaking to the media after visiting students writing BECE exams, urged them to continue working hard so they can pass the exams well and be rewarded accordingly.
He said he is going to sponsor brilliant but needy students who excel well in the exams.
He emphasized that this is a starting point for the students’ future, encouraging them not to fear but learn hard so they can write well with confidence.
He prayed with the students and commended the Director of Education for guiding them.
According to him, he hasn’t heard anything negative from the students, such as someone being unable to make it to the exam hall due to pregnancy or exam malpractice.
He noted that such incidents would be concerning for an MP in their constituency.
He also commended the students for comporting themselves well during the exams, prayed for them, and wished them well.
The Chairman of the MP’s Educational Committee, Mr. Aron Donkor, said he has seen the positive impact of the MP’s efforts in Akyem Oda constituency.
He encouraged the students to study hard so they can pass the exams well and prayed for them to have retentive memory to remember everything they’ve learned.
