One Suspect Arrested, Remanded in Obuasi Abompe Murder Case

A breakthrough has been made in the investigation into the tragic death of Ante Attaa, a woman in her 50s who was brutally stabbed to death at her kitchen in Obuasi Abompe old site.
The police have apprehended one suspect called Richard but popularly known as Stinking who appeared in court today.
The suspect, one of three believed to be involved in the crime, was remanded in custody for two weeks by His Worship Kofi Owusu Sekyere, Obuasi District Court Judge.
The court has adjourned to allow for further investigations.
Meanwhile, the police are on a manhunt for the other two suspects believed to be at large.
The motive behind the incident is still believed to stem from a long-standing feud between Ante Attaa’s son, Kwaku, and the alleged perpetrators.
The community remains shaken by the incident, with Assembly Member Hon. Fredrick Addo reiterating his concern about the safety of residents.
The police are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the suspects face the full rigors of the law.
