
St. Theresa’s School in North Kaneshie, Accra, has been crowned the overall winner of the 2025 Southern Sector Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest.
The school scored 308 points, followed closely by Salvation Army Basic ‘A’ Mamprobi (300.5 points), Cefelix Academy (293 points), Paradise Mission Academy (277.5 points), and Abbosey Okai R/C JHS (232.75 points).
The winners received the following prizes: St. Theresa’s School (1st position): GHC 5,000, medals, trophy, and citation, Salvation Army Basic ‘A’ Mamprobi (2nd position): GHC 4,000, medals, trophy, and citation, Cefelix Academy (3rd position): GHC 3,000 and medals, Paradise Mission Academy (4th position): GHC 2,000, citation, and textbooks, Abbosey Okai R/C JHS (5th position): GHC 1,000, citation, and textbooks
Pastor Phillip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Star Media, congratulated the students on their performance and called on the government to partner with the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest. He emphasized the contest’s potential to improve learning outcomes.
Pastor Sarpong noted that although the contest was challenging, the student candidates performed exceptionally well, answering all questions to the best of their ability.
He further that the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest is an exemplary assessment model that the government can adopt to enhance learning outcomes in schools.
Mr. Wisdom Wogbemase Dzamefe, Mathematics Teacher at St. Theresa’s School, attributed their victory to the students’ hard work and the thought-provoking questions.
Miss. Florence Amissah, Assistant Head of Salvation Army Basic ‘A’ Mamprobi, thanked the organizers for the opportunity, highlighting the school’s strategic approach to the contest.
The winning team from St. Theresa’s School expressed gratitude to their teachers for their dedication and support, which contributed to their success in the contest.
