The newly-appointed Municipal Chief Executive of Ahafo Ano South West Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Honorable Abubakar Sadiq, as part of his vision to addressing the high rate of unemployment, has begun extensive consultation with chiefs of the area for a land to establish a technical institution which would provide a special job training for the youth.
This would equip the youth with employable skills. Speaking in an exclusive interview on Wednesday, 28th May 2025, he emphasized that the initiative would equip the youth with employable skills and consequently improve their standard of living.
Additionally, he noted that the introduction of the Feed Ghana Programme by President John Dramani Mahama would hugely boost agribusiness in the area.
He has, therefore, expressed his thankfulness to President Mahama, pledging to help bring development to the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly.
Conveying a hearty congratulations on behalf of all the assembly members, the Presiding Member, Prince Oppong, assured Honorable Abubakar Sadiq of their unflinching support for him.
According to him, the good intentions of the Chief Executive would only materialize if there is unity between them. He also seized the moment to appeal to Honorable Sadiq to lobby for more development projects for the assembly.
