Police Arrest 10 Suspects For Alleged Cybercrime Activities In Weija

The Ghana Police Service’s Cybercrime Unit, in collaboration with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has apprehended 10 individuals suspected of engaging in cybercrime activities in Weija, Greater Accra Region.

The suspects, including Chinese and Malaysian nationals, are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.

During the operation, authorities seized over 800 mobile phones, computers, and charging devices, which will undergo forensic analysis to aid in the investigation.

The joint operation highlights the efforts of Ghanaian authorities to combat cybercrime and ensure a safer digital environment.

The suspects are expected to face further questioning and potential charges related to their alleged involvement in cybercrime activities.
