Empowering youth for a peaceful and secure society
The role of law enforcement and rehabilitation

Better Dream Foundation Ghana, in collaboration with Savannah Regional Minister, key security and human rights institutions, successfully organized a youth empowerment program at Damongo Senior High School (DASS).
The event was brought to law enforcement professionals, students, educators, and stakeholders to discuss the crucial role of young people in building a peaceful and secure society.
As part of the program, participants explore the role of prisons in crime prevention and rehabilitation, emphasizing the challenges ex-convicts face during reintegration, the importance of youth responsibility, and the impact of drug abuse on communities.
Furthermore, the discussion highlighted the significance of community policing, and the share responsibility in maintaining law and order.
It also addressed the growing concern of youth involvement and outlined effective prevention strategies, while encouraging students to collaborate with law enforcement to enhance community security.
In addition, the event shed light on human rights, justice and co-existance – urging students to uphold these core values in their daily lives and interactions.
The Savannah Regional Minister, along with the Headmaster, Staff, and the entire students body of DASS, actively participated in the program – making it truly impactful and inclusive gathering.
