2025 Mothers’ Day Celebration: Joy of The Lord Mission Supports The Aged and Persons With Hundreds of Wheelchairs

International humanitarian organization, Joy of the Lord Missions, has distributed hundreds of wheelchairs, clutches, walking frames, clothes, pieces of cloths, shoes amongst other basic items to the aged, the needy and persons living with physical disabilities at Nkoranza in the Bono Region of Ghana.

The gesture which forms part of the organization’s routine extension of support to less-privileged persons climaxed the 2025 Mothers’ Day celebration.

Speaking in an interview, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Theresa Sarpong, said she is overwhelmed by the patronage, and also for the enormous support she has received from the locals.

She noted that aside from holding an outreach program at Nkawie Afari on Saturday, 17th May 2025, the organization is also seeking to raise a whopping 250,000 US Dollars to support orphans and needy children on 29th November 2025.

She has, therefore, appealed to all benevolent persons to offer prayers and financial support to the project. Outlining her long-term vision for Nkoranza, she disclosed that the mission has secured a nine-acre land at Bono Akropong for the construction of a state-of-the-art orphanage Centre, a library, a community Centre, a recreational Centre, and a zoological garden for the locals.

After receiving the items, the beneficiaries expressed their thankfulness to Mrs. Sarpong for her kind support to them at all times. With tears of joy, some of them noted that they have had to crawl for years because of their inability to purchase a wheelchair.

According to them, the benevolence of Mrs. Sarpong and her organisation would forever be etched in their memory.
