C/R: LACK OF FUND, INADEQUATE LOGISTICS COLLAPSING OUR BUSINESS… CASSAVA FARMERS CRY OUT

Farmers at Odumase Nkwanta cassava dow processing factory in Awutu Senya West District are appealing for logistics and loan support to enhance their operations, increase productivity and improve their livelihood.

The farmers and the workers Appeal for processing machine, trucks and availability of fund to expand the business and increase productivity.

Some said, the cassava they need to feed the factory sometimes rot in the farm because of deplorable road and access to truck to transport the cassava from the farm to the factory for processing.

Also, they lament on the lack of fund to expand the business which they are appealing on the government to support them with loans to expand the business.

In in interview with Nana Ansah when the British High Commissioner to Ghana and Deputy Minister for Works and Housing paid a working visit to the factory to ask for their challenges and support they need.

Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner, Ms. Harriet Thompson pledge to partner with the Member of Parliament, Hon. Gizzela Agbutui Tetteh and support them to be able to expand their operations to create employment for the youth.

In conclusion, thedeputy minister for works and housing, Hon. Gizzela Agbutui Tetteh said they are partnership will bring development to the Constituency since this is not the first time the British High Commissioner has paid a working visit to the Constituency.
