MMDCEs CONFIRMATION: KWAHU WEST ASSEMBLY MEMBER APPROVES MCE

Assembly members of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region have overwhelmingly confirmed Hon Tamimu Aliedu as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The 26 assembly members voted ‘Yes’ and 10 assembly members voted “No” to approve his nomination as the MCE for Kwahu West at the election held at the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly in Nkawkaw.
Hon Tamimu Aliedu became the second nominee of the President in the Eastern Region Region to be confirmed as MCE.Speaking to Media, Hon Tamimu Aliedu thank the Assembly members for their support.
The confirmation event, held in the municipality, was attended by several dignitaries including the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, who delivered a keynote address on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
In her speech, the Regional Minister expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members for their commitment to local governance and urged them to unite behind the new MCE to drive development in the municipality.
She emphasized the importance of strong local leadership in the implementation of President Mahama’s national development agenda, which includes economic stabilization, infrastructural expansion, and decentralization.
