Agri Eye Consult to Host First-Ever Agricultural Researchers-Investors Summit

The Agri Eye Consult, in partnership with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Crops Research Institute (CSIR-CRI), the Faculty of Agriculture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and the Ghana Agricultural and Rural Development Journalists Association (GARDJA), is set to host the maiden Agricultural Researchers-Investors Summit in Kumasi.

Scheduled to take place on June 26-27, 2025, at the Lecture Theatre of the Faculty of Agriculture, KNUST, the summit aims to bridge the gap between research institutions and industries, fostering a new ecosystem where ideas are transformed into action and science is translated into sustainable enterprise.

Themed “Bridging Innovation and Investment for a Resilient Agriculture in Ghana,” the summit seeks to unlock Ghana’s innovation potential and drive inclusive economic growth through agribusiness.

The summit is designed to connect researchers with investors, individuals, and institutions ready to fund, scale, and support the deployment of innovations in agriculture.

By doing so, it aims to catalyze a new era of investment-driven research utilization in Ghana, ultimately contributing to national development, job creation, and food system resilience.

Ghana, like many countries in sub-Saharan Africa, faces a significant challenge in translating research findings into practical solutions for the agricultural sector.

Despite the country’s strong tradition of academic excellence and scientific research, groundbreaking research often remains underutilized, while entrepreneurs and investors struggle to find innovative solutions to scale and sustain agribusiness ventures.

The Researchers-Investors Summit seeks to address this challenge by providing a platform for researchers to connect with investors and industry stakeholders.

The summit is a timely intervention, given the current economic uncertainty, rising youth unemployment, and the threat of climate-induced agricultural instability in Ghana.

By bringing together researchers, investors, and industry stakeholders, the summit aims to catalyze a new era of investment-driven research utilization in Ghana.

The event will provide a platform for showcasing innovative research findings, discussing challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector, and exploring potential solutions.

Prominent personalities in the agricultural space, including Dr. Amos Rutherford Azinu, Dr. Dominic Oduro Antwi, and Prof. Maxwell Darko Asante, among others, are expected to attend.
