Youth Advised To Desist From Drug Abuse 

Ghanaian youth has been urged to desist from taking hard drugs and secure blissful future for sustainable labour force in the country.

Mr. Gabriel Asamoah, Youth President of Royal Baptist Church, Bibiani, disclosed this during Youth Week Celebration with the theme “Rebuilding Our Broken Walls.

Drug abuse can have severe consequences, including addiction, health problems, and impaired cognitive function.

By avoiding drug abuse, youth can protect their physical and mental well-being, ensuring they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Mr. Asamoah stated that drug abuse can lead to a range of negative outcomes, including poor academic performance, strained relationships, and increased risk of mental health issues.

 

He added that, it is essential for youth to understand the risks associated with drug abuse and make informed decisions about their health and well-being. By avoiding drug abuse, youth can build a bright future filled with opportunities and possibilities.

They can focus on their education, develop their skills, and pursue their passions, setting themselves up for success and happiness.

 

Mr. Asamoah added that for youth struggling with drug abuse, access to support and resources is crucial. This can include counseling, therapy, and support groups. By providing a safe and supportive environment, we can help youth overcome addiction and achieve their goals.

 

He therefore appealed to authorities to empower youth with the knowledge and skills they need to make positive choices. By promoting healthy lifestyles and providing opportunities for growth and development, we can help them build a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling life.
