Ghanaians Urged to Foster a Culture of Respectful Discourse

Bishop Dr. Augustine Asante, founder and leader of Amazing Glory Church International (AGCI), has called on upcoming politicians to desist from the politics of insult and instead foster a culture of respectful discourse.

By doing so, we can create an environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing their opinions and engaging in constructive debates.

Civility is essential in politics, as it allows us to disagree without being disagreeable. When we prioritize respect and empathy, we can build trust and understanding, even with those who hold differing views.

The respected man of God further called on the public to put aside their differences and come together in the spirit of unity. We must recognize that our diversity is a strength, not a weakness.

By embracing our unique perspectives and experiences, according to him, “we can build a more harmonious and prosperous society”.

“When we attack each other over politics, we risk creating deep divisions that can be difficult to bridge”. He stressed. Adding that “Insults and personal attacks only serve to further polarize us, creating an “us versus them” mentality that can be damaging to our communities and relationships”.

As we move forward, let’s prioritize unity and cooperation. We can achieve great things when we work together towards a common purpose. By putting aside our differences and focusing on our shared humanity, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.
