The Municipal Chief Executive of Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Gyasi Dominic, has expressed shock and disappointment at the state of disrepair of government bungalows in the municipality.
During a tour of state assets, Hon. Gyasi Dominic discovered that the MCE bungalow, the White House, and other government residential facilities had been abandoned and left to rot.
The MCE bungalow, in particular, had not been occupied by previous MCEs for the past eight years.
Hon. Gyasi Dominic was dismayed to find that some state assets had been misused, with one professional doctor reportedly using a government property as a pen for his poultry and other animals.
The MCE has vowed to renovate the abandoned bungalows and take immediate action to protect government properties.
He plans to gather documents and investigate any unauthorized sales of government assets, holding those responsible accountable.
Hon. Gyasi Dominic’s initiative aims to restore and preserve government properties in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality, ensuring they serve their intended purpose.
