Poultry Farmers’ Association Calls for National Policy

The National Vice Chairman of the Poultry Farmers Association, Mr. Boris Baido, is advocating for a national policy to regulate the poultry industry and other sectors.
According to Dr. Borris Baido, who is also the Group CEO of Borris B Group of Companies in Ghana, a national policy would ensure sustainable government policies that transcend diverse governance in the industry.
Speaking on “Akuafo Kyefa” on Oyerepa FM, Dr. Baido emphasized that adopting a national policy would accelerate development.
This call echoes the sentiments of the Ghana National Poultry Farmers Association, which has been working to revamp the poultry sector through initiatives like nationwide biometric registration of poultry farmers.
The biometric registration exercise aims to collect reliable industry data to inform policy formulation, decision-making, and implementation.
This move is crucial, given the industry’s current challenges, including unreliable data and lack of standardization.
The policy will ensure sustainable Government Policies through a consistency across different governance structures, foster growth and progress in the poultry industry, as well enable informed decision-making through reliable data.
By advocating for a national policy, Mr. Baido and the Poultry Farmers Association hope to address the industry’s challenges and unlock its full potential.
