
The Dormaa East District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Bono Region, Hon. Osei Owusu King, has voiced apprehensions regarding the insufficient Internally Generated Funds (IGF) accumulated in the district over recent years.
He has expressed his unwavering commitment to collaborate with the Assembly staff to bolster the generation of IGF for the advancement of Dormaa East district.
He stated that, initiatives are in progress to educate and raise awareness among Dormaa East constituents about the significance of taxation and the necessity of contributing their share to expedite the development of the constituency.
He emphasized that IGF is indispensable for development within the framework of local governance.
Honorable Osei Owusu King, a seasoned assembly member now entrusted with the role of District Chief Executive, underscored that the primary objective of every Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assembly (MMDA) is development and progress.
He intends to leverage his extensive experience in local governance accumulated over several years as an assembly member to collaborate with former District Chief Executives of Dormaa East for insights to steer the Assembly towards success.
He reaffirmed his awareness of all challenges confronting the Dormaa East District Assembly and urged the residents to exercise patience as he collaborates with the Member of Parliament to systematically address each issue, thereby ensuring comprehensive attention to all facets of the assembly’s concerns.
The District Chief Executive has resolved that his administration will refrain from governing the Assembly through partisan politics, guaranteeing that all assembly members and the entire constituency receive equitable attention directed toward development.
He assures that any resources earmarked for distribution across the assembly will be allocated impartially, devoid of political influence.
He further stated that he draws inspiration from the Dormaa East Member of Parliament, who has pledged to collaborate inclusively with all individuals in the constituency, irrespective of political party affiliation.
He intends to emulate this approach to propel the district towards unparalleled success and unity.
