“IGP Actions Needless” – Mamprusi Prince Decends Heavily

Mr Awudu Ahmed Gumah, Mamprusi Prince from Bawku has described the action made by the inspector general of police (IGP) to the kusasi youth in Bawku about police recruitment as needless.
To him, the IGP taken an entrenched position to only meet the leadership of kusasi has clearly shown that Mr Tetteh Yohunu is not on top of his game as the police chief.
“In an attempt to resolve a problem among a group, there must be deliberate efforts to meet with all involved parties, adding that there are more than three tribes which form as Bawku”
“As IGP your core mandate is arrested criminals which are causing mayhem to people in a particular jurisdiction and not the other round of begging them to stop their criminal activities and going ahead to promised them police recruitment.”
According to him, the actions by the inspector general of police has made the kusasi youth think that they can fight with men in uniform.
He therefore called on as a matter of urgency to address the issues and make sure that the kusasi youth stop what they are doing to destabilize the peace the good people of Bawku.
