An inferno has razed down about five(5) commercial Container shops at Kasoa Colomba Junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region destroying items worth millions of cedis.
The inferno according to eyewitnesses started around 8:30 in the evening.
The fire which lasted about an hour and 30 minutes which consumed five containers which include provision shop, Seamstress shop, pedicure shop, hairdressing shop and commercial bag shop.
A distress calls were made to the Kasoa fire service station but couldn’t come as well as Budumburam, Weija and Dansoman fire station. The reason being faulty fire tenders in all the aforementioned fire stations.
The Young men around tirelessly quenched the fire before the Anyaa Fire Tender could arrive.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but preminarly investigation has it that the fire started from the provision shop spreading through others. An electrical faulted is suspected to have caused the disaster.
