Anglogold Ashanti as part of it ten years Socio-economic management plan has embarked on road safety awareness campaign to curb road accidents especially in the Easter festive season.
Mr. Edmond Oduro Agyei who is the AGA community relation manager hinted AGA prioritises safety in their area of Operations.
According to him, previous years awareness campaigns have yielded positive results, which encourages the sector to continue its gestures this year.
This he said, will go along way to help drivers, passengers and pedestrians to avoid road accident as part of measures to save lives.
Mr.Akwasi Agyenim Boateng, National Road Safety Authority Regional Director gave statistics on January and February that 127 people died in road accidents.
Mr Agyenim Boateng urged all stakeholders such drivers, passengers and others who matter as far as road safety is concerned.
The exercise featured some institutions such as officials from MTTD,NRSA, FIRE SEVICE, POLICE, DVLA And ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI OBUASI MINE.
