In a significant breakthrough, the Tema Regional Police Command has apprehended two suspects in connection with a robbery incident that occurred on February 26, 2025, at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
The suspects, Karim Fatao and Wonder Babanawo, were arrested on February 26 and March 29, 2025, respectively.
Wonder Babanawo had been on the police wanted list for a series of robberies in Ashaiman and parts of Tema.
A search of the suspects yielded several items, including a loaded Ruger pistol, mobile phone covers, SIM cards, suspected Indian Hemp, a Samsung tablet, and land indenture documents.
Karim Fatao was remanded in police custody after appearing in court on March 3, 2025. Wonder Babanawo is currently in police custody and will face justice in due course.
The police are commended for their swift action in apprehending the suspects, and the community is urged to continue cooperating with law enforcement to ensure public safety.
