MP Patrick Yaw Boamah Slams Government Over Unfulfilled Promises

Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has lambasted the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for failing to deliver on its campaign promises.

Speaking on the 2025 budget, Boamah, who also chairs the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, expressed disappointment that the budget statement neglects to address pressing issues affecting Ghanaian youth, particularly unemployment.

Despite the NDC’s assurances during the campaign period, the budget fails to provide tangible solutions to the country’s economic challenges.

This has led to widespread disillusionment among Ghanaians, who feel the government has reneged on its promises.

The issue of unemployment is particularly pertinent, as Ghana’s youth population continues to grow. With many young people struggling to find stable, meaningful employment, the government’s failure to address this issue has sparked concerns about the country’s future.

Boamah’s criticism of the government’s budget comes amid growing concerns about Ghana’s economic stability. With inflation rates soaring and the cost of living increasing, many Ghanaians are feeling the pinch.

The government’s inability to deliver on its promises has only added to the sense of frustration and disillusionment.
