Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu Dismisses Propaganda Allegations

Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has vehemently denied allegations that his office has been allocated 78 million Ghana cedis for propaganda activities.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Ofosu clarified that the funds are intended for three critical agencies under his supervision: the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), the Ghana News Agency (GNA), and the Information Services Department (ISD).

Ofosu emphasized that the GBC alone requires 37 million cedis to establish broadcasting services in the six additional regions in the country.

He noted that the 78 million cedis allocated to his ministry is insufficient for the operational needs of these three agencies.

The Minister’s clarification comes amidst allegations that his office was allocated funds for propaganda purposes.

However, Ofosu has reassured that the funds are strictly for operational budgets, dismissing claims of any wrongdoing.
