The Blockchain Builders Association of Ghana is calling on government to harness the potential of blockchain technology to empower the youth, drive economic growth to aid create opportunities for its citizens.
Speaking at the “Empowering Ghana’s Digital Future with Blockchain” event in Accra, Mr. Eric Annan, CEO of AyaHQ, emphasized the need for Ghana to shift from being mere consumers to taking ownership roles in the blockchain space.
“To achieve this, we need a national conversation involving the executive, legislature, judiciary, and government agencies like the Bank of Ghana,” Mr. Annan said.
The Association is advocating for policymakers to provide clarity and direction on blockchain adoption, enabling ordinary Ghanaians to create value, contribute to economic development, and impact the global GDP.
“Let’s spark a national conversation that amplifies the voices of young Ghanaians, empowering them to harness the potential of blockchain technology. Together, we can drive economic growth, create opportunities, and unlock the full potential of blockchain in Ghana”, he noted.
